Style Definitions

Skimpy Regular- smallest cut; one size; sets directly above the hair line; thong back sets at base of tailbone (straps are only visible)

Skimpy Long- larger cut of skimpy regular (longer and wider); one size; same design concept except it sets higher in the front and provides more coverage; usually worn by women who are a little larger or want more coverage

Skimpy Slide- can be made in skimpy regular and long; one size; design is a straight across cut with no rings; purpose is to scrunch together to make a "strip" in the front

T&A Regular Thong-  fuller fitted thong; has complete coverage; comes in small, medium, large, and x-large; sets high on the hip with no rolling; visually elongates your legs; drastic "V" front visually pulls in your waistline and reduces the "pooch"

Male Regular Thong"-slight pouch front, to hold him in closer; comes in small, medium, large, and x-large; great for everyday wear!

Male Dance Thong- otherwise known as the “wonder bra for a man”; these styles are designed to lift and enhance. The pouches are not supposed to be fitted. The purpose is to provide movement while providing visual endowment. These designs come in two styles:

            - #2- our best seller, with the largest pouch; the pouch is cut wider and longer with a pointed tip

            - #3- the pouch is cut narrower and shorter with a rounded tip

 

Corset- A snug fitting garment designed to cinch the waist and lift the breasts. Lacing in the back allows the corset to be adjusted for comfort. Generally made with steel stays/boning and/or strong material, and no under wire.

Bustier- A fitted garment designed to slightly pull in the waist. Some styles are designed with hook back or side, or lace up back. Generally made of lighter weight material. Stays/ boning may or may not be incorporated into the piece. Garments usually have detachable garter straps to hold up stockings, and with under wire for support.

Shelf Bra- A bra which provides support underneath the breast leaving the nipples and breast exposed. Some designs will include stays/boning for extra support.

Demi Bra/cup- Designed with a ½ cup, to expose half of the nipples areola and the upper part of the breasts.

Bralette- A bra-like top that lacks the support features of a real bra.

Baby doll- A garment which usually consists of formed cups with an attached loose fitting skirt that falls anywhere between the belly button and the hips. Fabrics will vary.

Chemise- A garment which lies below the hip and no longer than the knee. Usually styles are fitted or have an “A line” design (fitted in the waist, flare out at the hip).

Teddy- A one piece garment usually designed with a high leg. Think of a one piece swimsuit.

Teddiette- A teddy or chemise with attached garter straps to hold up stockings.

Body stocking- A fitted one piece garment that is crotchless (open crotch) and stretches to fit by weight sizing.

Sets- Garments with 2 or more pieces. Sets vary from shorts set, cami set, bustier set (with hosiery and glove, etc.), pant sets, etc.

Shorts Set- Shorts are also known as “boy shorts” which are designed to show the “bottom cleavage” of the buttocks.

Cami/Camisole Set- Set includes a loose or fitted top with little support for the breasts and a bottom usually a thong or full panty.

Skirtini- A mini skirt with attached garters, and comes in a variety of fabrics.

 

 

Definitions of “quoted” terms:

 

Convience piece”- used for garments that are easily accessible; nipple/breast exposure and crotchless combinations

“Peek-a-boo”- The cup in the garment is slit for nipple exposure.

“Boob-out”- The cup in the garment is encased with fabric around the breast or under, leaving the breast exposed.

 

Fabric Definitions:

 

Charmeuse- opaque material; otherwise known as satin

Lycra- “swimwear” materiel; nylon and spandex; absorbs and traps heat and breaths better than cotton

Stretch Lace- lace with nylon and spandex

Lace- non stretch lace

Chiffon- lightweight sheer material; no stretch

Mesh- tight woven sheer stretchy material

Silk- comes from the cocoon of the silk worm and requires a great deal of handling and processing, which makes it one of the most expensive fibers

Pucci Silk- printed and colorful silk designed by Emilio Pucci

Embroidered- tight thread stitching design which forms a picture. Example: embroidered flowers
